Bear’s mom adopted him in 2017 while she was in graduate school in Atlanta after construction workers found him on the side of the road. No one knew anything about his past—only that he was believed to be around 3–4 years old. Bear started off shy and unsure, but with patience, love, and a safe place to call home, he blossomed into the sweetest, silliest goofball.

These days, Bear has quite the personality. Every time the refrigerator door opens, he’s already sprinting over to collect his famous “carrot tax.” Ear rubs are another one of his favorite things, and if you ask Bear, he’s also an essential member of the neighborhood kitty crime watch, always keeping a close eye on everything happening outside.
